Wearing my author hat in sunny Queensland

April 11, 2015 0

Folks, I’ve been absent for too long. The Somerset Celebration is now a comfortably warm, fuzzy memory in my head. A blur of kids, books, fellow authors and a heat haze that wrapped itself around the Gold Coast in late March and didn’t let up. It was quite simply, one of the best experiences of my life. The chance to meet so many young Queensland readers, the opportunity to gossip and bond with fellow writers, and to meet so many lovely people from Somerset College – it was just a fantastic time. I caught up with friends old and new, and know I forged some great connections with some very clever and creative people. The only problem remains: there are so many new books on my bookshelf and beside my bed – when am I going to have the time to read everything? Thanks, Queensland and the Somerset crew for an unforgettable time (and for spoiling me rotten)
